Privacy Policy

Introduction

Slofi (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a personal finance application that helps you record transactions, manage a balance sheet, and view analysis charts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using Slofi, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Information We Collect

Account information: your email address and authentication identifiers from Supabase Auth (including sign-in via Google when you choose that option).

Profile information: an optional display name you set in Settings.

Financial data you enter: transactions (dates, amounts, categories, descriptions, notes, tags), balance sheet items and monthly snapshots, recurrence rules, and related metadata.

Technical data: standard logs from our hosting provider (Supabase) for security and operations, such as IP address and request timestamps when you use the service.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide the Slofi service: storing your records, showing charts and summaries, importing and exporting CSV files you request, and keeping your account secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

Where Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Row Level Security ensures each user can only access their own rows. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.

Sharing With Third Parties

We share data only with service providers needed to run Slofi (currently Supabase for database and authentication, and Google when you sign in with Google OAuth). Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You may delete your account from Settings by confirming with the phrase shown on the delete-account screen. Deletion removes your auth user and associated app data from our database (subject to backup retention by our host for a limited period).

Your Choices

You can update your display name, export your data as CSV, and sign out at any time. Email/password users can change their password in Settings.

To stop using Slofi, delete your account as described above or contact us if you need assistance.

Security

We rely on Supabase authentication, HTTPS, and database Row Level Security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use a strong password and protect your device.

Children

Slofi is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version in the app and update the “Last updated” date below.
